HANDS Direct Services

Volunteer co-ordinators in the Hands office

HANDS is the name we use for our own Direct Services, providing practical help and assistance to elderly, disabled or otherwise disadvantaged  people in the local community.

We do this with the help of our own team of dedicated volunteers, who generously give their time to help improve the quality of life for others in the local area.

We operate a variety of schemes, including community transport, befriending and gardening. If you would like to know more about these schemes, either as a potential client or if you would like to join our team of volunteers, please click on the appropriate sub-menu on the HANDS button.

HANDS also works closely with the statutory bodies, such as Social Services, local Health Authorities and Medway Council, as well as other local and national charities, in order to provide a wide range of services to the community.
