Hands & Gillingham Volunteer Centre is fast developing a reputation as one of the most innovative charities in the area. In recognition of the valuable work we do in the Medway community, two celebrity musicians of world-class renown - Rick Wakeman and Jools Holland - not only support us but have also kindly agreed to be our patrons.

In the summer of 2006 Rick Wakeman generously put on a charity fundraiser concert for us at Rochester Cathedral. During his address to the audience, Rick said that Hands & Gillingham Volunteer Centre was 'a small charity that makes a big difference to people's lives', which about sums up what we are trying to achieve and has since become our mission statement.
